With hearts full of both sorrow and loving memories, we announce the passing of Tyler Bennett Ratcliffe, who went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2025. Born on December 28, 1977, Tyler lived a life marked by joy, friendship, and a radiant spirit that touched everyone he encountered.
Tyler is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his devoted parents, Bob and Eileen Kolodziej of Little River, South Carolina; his beloved sister, Amy Ratcliffe Capodilupo; his brother-in-law, Mark Capodilupo; his sister, Emily Kolodziej; his life partner, Adrianne Thomason, and her children, Emalee, Wesley, and Bradley. As well as his cherished nephews and nieces, John, Ella, Chase, Thomas, and Lola, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. He was a constant source of joy and inspiration to his family, and their love for him will never fade.
A true free spirit, Tyler had a boundless love for life and people. Known affectionately to many as the Bubble Man, Tyler could often be found spreading joy with his mesmerizing bubbles and vibrant, bold outfits. Whether at a music festival, at work, or just walking down the street, he had a unique way of making strangers smile and friends feel loved.
He was a man of profound generosity, of his time and companionship, and a tender heart that knew no limits. His friendships spanned states and decades—each one a testament to his ability to connect, uplift, and genuinely care for others. Tyler's love for Rabun County, Georgia, ran deep, and it was there that he found a sense of community. He was also a devoted fan of Billy Strings, seeing in the music a reflection of his own wild soul and open heart.
Tyler lived out loud and with intention. His wonderful smile, his kind eyes, and his giving nature will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him. He made the world a lighter, brighter place simply by being in it.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Tyler's honor on June 23rd from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home in Little River, South Carolina. All who loved Tyler are invited to join in remembering a life so beautifully lived and a soul so deeply cherished. In true celebration of Tyler, the family is asking those attending to wear tie-dye and bright colored attire.
Though he has left this earth, Tyler's spirit lives on—in bubbles floating in the air, in the laughter of friends, in the quiet corners of Rabun County, and most of all, in the hearts of those who love him.
