Velinda Kay Kerns

Velinda Kay Kerns, age 75, of Little River, South Carolina passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2024 at her residence. Born on July 9, 1948 in Lewis County, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late John and Macel Hickman Foster.

Survivors include her daughters, Veronica Heater (Steve), Charleen Hamrick, son; Charlie Kerns (Brittany); brother, Roger Foster; grandchildren, Sidney Wozniak, Sawyer Toms; along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 54 years, Charles Kerns; sister, Delma Skinner; brother, Linn Foster; grandson, Benjamin Hamrick.

Velinda and Charles relocated to Little River from West Virginia following retirement in 2014. She enjoyed banana splits, playing mahjong with her mahjong group and anything Jimmy Buffet. Velinda was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Longs. She loved her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all.
