

Wally was born in Ticonderoga, NY on May 20, 1946 to the parents of William and Doris MacDonough, and grew up in Westport, NY with his younger brothers and sister. Together the family enjoyed spending time in the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain.
After Wally graduated from high school, he attended cooking school and was a chef in Essex, NY. He later moved to East Hartford, CT, and started a machine career at Pratt & Whitney. He then got into the injection mold making and then moved onto sales in the same industry.
Wally and his beloved deceased wife, Barbara, enjoyed boating, motorcycle riding and spending time with their children, Sean and Dawn. Wally liked to go fishing and catching blue fish and trout.
Wally’s biggest passion was motorcycles, and owned over 100 in his lifetime. He belonged to many groups and made great friends. He and Barbara would go to the Americade Motorcycle Rally every year on Lake George with their friends.
Wally and Barbara moved to Longs, SC where he could ride his motorcycles year-round. The couple made many great friends in their community and was well-liked, and Wally helped the neighbors with any handyman tasks that he volunteered.
He leaves behind their children, Dawn Wreford and husband Stan, and Sean MacDonough and girlfriend Cheryl Pazdar, his grandson Tony Pucino and wife Kelsi; his brother and sister in law, Bill and Lynn MacDonough; his brother-in-law Bernie Trumbull; his nieces and nephews and their families: Lance and Jessica Decker, Catherine Decker, Billy MacDonough, Jason and Kacie MacDonough, Donna and Peter Katz, Lori and Earl Benway, Becca and Keith Haessig, Ryan and Amy MacDonough, and Meghan MacDonough.
Wally was predeceased by his wife, Barbara S. MacDonough; brother and sister in-law, David MacDonough and Linda Early; and sister, Doreen Trumbull.
A Celebration of Life for the family is planned for the summer.
