He joined the Marine Corp in 1966 and served 13 months in Vietnam. He received an honorable discharge in 1972. In 1980 he proudly became a citizen of the United States. He worked in the airline industry for 40 years; 26 years for Pan American Airlines and 14 years with Delta Airlines. It was while working for Delta that he moved from Glen Cove, NY to Northern Kentucky where he lived for over 20 years. As a long time golfer who spent winters in Sunset Beach, NC, he finally moved to the area so that he could enjoy year-round golf. His second love was for travel and enjoyed traveling all over the world, playing golf whenever opportunity allowed. After retiring in 2005, he volunteered at the VA Hospital in Cincinnati, OH in order to give back to fellow veterans who had provided him assistance in his time of need. He had an engaging personality and who never met a stranger and was quick to make friends wherever he was.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Browning and three beautiful children Alison Margaret Robbins, Thomas Cameron Robbins and James William Robbins.
