William Ralph Voss III

William “Bill” Ralph Voss III, age 75, of Little River, South Carolina passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. Born on November 16, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri Bill was the son of the late William Ralph Voss, Jr. and Margaret E. Peck.

Prior to relocating to Little River in 2019, Bill was a resident of Ossining, New York for 40 years. Bill was a volunteer firefighter with Independent Hose Company #6 in Ossining. He retired from New York Telephone and Nortel Networks. Bill loved sailing and restoring Chevrolet Corvettes. He received his captain’s license from the United States Coast Guard and was also a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 66 in Tarrytown, New York.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Gayle E. Voss; sisters, Margaret Voss Joseph, Kathryn Green Kristiansen, Barbara Greene Keegan; several nephews, a niece and one great nephew. He also survived by numerous friends and acquaintances who loved him dearly in Little River, SC and Ossining, NY. Bill was preceded in death by his parents along with his stepfather, Curvin H. Greene.
