Each and every time I interacted with Blackie, I ended up with a smile. He possessed a special "something" that allowed his positivity to spill on to everyone....I will miss him dearly.

I fondly remember basketball games and practices, sleepovers at the Stowers home, just hanging out and many other activities. Blackie was truly one of a kind and he will certainly be missed.

Blackie was unique and special in his own way often with smiles and laughter to follow.  He was a great golf partner (2009) on the course and if I wasn't shooting well that day being with him didn't matter.  I always let him drive the golf cart and what a ride it was.  He always made it enjoyable. Great company no matter what time of day.  Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed.

Blackie and I were friends for almost 20 years. We traveled the roads together before he started working at DC Cook. So many funny stories and great memories we had. I remember my first round of golf with Blackie. Between his laugh and the big smile he wore all the time he will not be forgotten. He also shot his best round that day if memory serves me correct. We often talked about how we would like to play that good all the time.
