Angelina Gruppuso

Angelina Gruppuso (nee: Tocci), 91, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Inglemoor Care and Rehabilitation Center in Livingston. Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Friday 3-8 PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be offered at St. Joseph’s Church, 110 Telford St., East Orange, on Saturday at 10 AM followed by the committal service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care, 95 Old Short Hills Rd., West Orange, NJ 07052.

Born in Newark, Angelina had lived in Livingston since 1978. She was a secretary at St. Joseph’s School, East Orange, for over 35 years and retired in 1988. As a member of St. Joseph’s Church in East Orange, she served as a Eucharistic Minister, choir member and cantor.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Benny and brothers Jack and Frank Tocci, she is survived by her devoted children: Lenora McGrath and husband Dan, Theresa Gruppuso, Vito B. and Mary Jane and Mary Ann Diaz and husband Daniel; her loving grandchildren Anthony Gruppuso, Donna Karpinski, Susan and Sean McGrath, Danny Diaz, Dana Marucci, dear great grandchildren Jack and Luke Gruppuso, Peyton and Maegan Karpinski, Mason and Landon Marucci and her cousin, Patricia Vittoria.
