Ann Helen Simonetti

Ann was born on December 17, 1927 to Mary and Ralph Travisano, grew up in Vailsburg, and attended West Side High School where she was a member of Chi Epsilon sorority. Upon leaving high school Ann enrolled in a secretarial course from which she graduated in January of 1946.

Ann was employed as a secretary for the Prudential Insurance Company in Newark, New Jersey for 15 years, and was a member of the company's Patrician Guild, an organization for Catholic women. She also worked as a volunteer at St. Michael's Hospital in Newark.

Ann married her beloved spouse, Vincent on June 6, 1959. They briefly lived in Union, New Jersey before moving to their home in Livingston where they raised their family.

Ann is survived by her husband of 55 years, Vincent. She was the loving mother of Marianne Simonetti (husband Joseph), Lucille Perrone (husband Anthony), Domenic Simonetti (wife Rosemary), and cherished grandmother to Joseph, Gabrielle, Nicole and Olivia. Ann was predeceased by both of her parents, her brother, Patrick A. Travisano, and her sister, Genevieve J. Estilow.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home in Livingston, New Jersey on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 3pm to 7pm. A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Philomena's Roman Catholic Church also in Livingston. Internment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations in Ann's memory be made to a favorite charity.
