Born in Terlizzi, Italy, he came to the United States in the mid 1960’s and built a new life through education, determination, and devotion to his family. Anthony earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bloomfield College and continued his education at the Chubb Institute, preparing him for a long and successful career in computer programming. He later retired from ASCAP in New York City.
Tony will be remembered for his jovial personality that brought warmth and laughter to every gathering. A devoted soccer fan, he was happiest watching matches and spending time with the people he loved, often over a glass of his homemade wine and one of the home-cooked meals for which he was famous. Tony’s warmth, laughter, and love of family and friends will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. The memories created around his table and in the company of those he cherished will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Damiano and Luigia Giangaspero (nee DeLeo), and his siblings, Guiseppe and Guiseppina Giangaspero. He is survived by Adelaide (nee Porrari), his beloved wife of 50 years; his loving daughters, Marylou Menville (Michael) and Jessica Giangaspero (Natalie Zarrillo); his grandchildren, Alexander and Sofia; his brother, Mario Giangaspero (Teresa); and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
