Athena Vasilopoulos

Visitation will be on Monday, February 10, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Quinn-Hopping

Funeral Home, 145 E. Mount Pleasant Ave., Livingston. The Funeral Mass will be held at

11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 11 at Sts. Nicholas, Constantine, and Helen Greek Orthodox

Church, 80 Laurel Ave., Roseland. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, 77 Deforest

Ave, East Hanover.

Born in Bronx, New York, Mrs. Vasilopoulos lived in Newark and Orange before moving to

Livingston in 1966. She worked for Shop Rite Supermarket in the Bakery Department for 26

years, retiring in 2007.

Mrs. Vasilopoulos was predeceased by her husband Loucas and is survived by her loving children, three sons, William, Nicholas, and George

Vasilopoulos, and a daughter, Kathy Hede. She is also survived by her loving daughter-in-law,

Elaine Engle-Vasilopoulos, son-in-law, Minish Hede, and five grandchildren, Rachel and Lukas

Vasilopoulos, and Alexandria, Michael, and Anjali Hede.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
