In loving memory of Belen Arambulo, who passed on Wednesday January 11, 2023. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Belen. Belen was born January 16, 1938 in Batangas City, Philippines. In 1961, she moved from her home country to Chicago, Illinois to study as an exchange student. Two years later she moved to Canada where she met her husband Antonio Arambulo. The two were married on November 30,1968. In 1970, they settled with their family in West Orange, New Jersey.
Belen began her nursing studies at San Juan de Dios in Manila, Philippines, and later continued at DePaul University in Chicago, earning her B.S.N., and at Rutgers University where she earned a degree in social work. Throughout her career, she worked in several hospitals and nursing facilities across northern New Jersey. Belen’s devotion to service extended far beyond her career. A member of the Bukas Loob sa Diyos (BLD) Covenant Community, Belen would join in fellowship and service, participating in medical mission trips to serve communities in the Philippines and volunteering in soup kitchens throughout New Jersey. She shared her love, kindness, and generous spirit with all whom she encountered.
She was predeceased by her two brothers Cesar Arceo and Celso “Chito” Arceo. She is survived by her husband Antonio Arambulo, her two sisters Lydia Suba and Ester Tambor, her children Joseph Arambulo and Maricel Marconi, and her three grandchildren Michaela, Max, and Miles Marconi.
