Carmela Adams, age 100, of Brick, NJ, formerly of West Orange, NJ, died peacefully on Monday February 18, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 1 Eagle Rock Avenue West Orange, NJ, on Saturday February 23, 2013 at 9:30AM. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery East Hanover, NJ. The family will receive their friends at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue Livingston, NJ; on Friday February 22, 2013 from 4-8 PM. Carmela was employed by Tri-Chem in West Orange before her retirement. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Carmela was predeceased by her beloved husband George F. Adams Sr. and her devoted son Carmen Adams, she is survived by her devoted children Cecelia Magliacane, Angela Coen, John and his wife Elaine Adams, George F. Jr. and his wife Marjorie Adams, Gregory and his wife Valerie Adams, Geraldine and her husband Mauro Gagliardi, dear sister of Sabina Giovine, Frank Pellegrino and Ann Pellegrino, Carmela was also survived by 21 loving grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
