

Carol was born on September 4, 1930, in Newark, NJ to parents, William Hamilton and Eleanor Farley. She graduated from Our Lady of the Valley High School in 1948. Carol went on to establish a career as an Administrative Assistant, working for Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation for over 20 years.
Carol lived in Livingston when she started her family and moved to West Orange once all four of her daughters were born. She lived in West Orange for 20 years before moving to Venice, Florida but returned to Livingston in 2015.
Carol enjoyed knitting, reading, traveling, especially cruising and spending time with her extended family.
She was a devout catholic who was preceded in death by her loving Husband Douglas Bartholomew and her ex-husband Joseph I Finneran. Carol is survived by her four daughters Dr. Patricia Thrower (Albert). Therese McLaughlin, Susan Langdon (Mark), Joanne Lukowiak (Stuart). Carol was blessed with 11 grandchildren Albert Thrower (Stephanie), Courtney Durling (Kip), Caitlin Donovan (Matthew), Liam McLaughlin, Patrick McLaughlin, Timothy Langdon (Jamie), Matthew Langdon, Alexandra Langdon, Erin Lukowiak, Dr. Tess Lukowiak (Eric Benitez) and Jordan Lukowiak. Carol is also survived by 10 great
grandchildren, Grayson, Wyatt and Virgina Thrower, Serena, Brynn and Summer Durling, Jack and Charlotte Donovan, Teaghan Poggi and Elizabeth Langdon.
We will be celebrating Carol’s special life during a Celebration of Life Mass on June 23 at 10:30 am at St. Philomena’s Roman Catholic Church located at 386 S. Livingston Avenue, Livingston NJ. The family will receive guests at 9:45 am at the church.
