So sad that I have to write this message in memory of my cousin Carol. Cousins often feel like extended siblings, woven into childhood memories, family traditions and life's big moments. The grief runs deep. 
My sisters wrote a few memories of us when we where kids at Nanny's house so I figured I'd include some of my memories which stood out when we were all together creating a little mischief. (Pop Pop would often threaten to take off his belt, but never did)
We all used to sleep on a pull out bed in "TV Room". All lined up like sardines in a can. The bad thing about that was there was a phone in that room and we took full advantage and made prank phone calls (before caller ID!) Remember Mrs. Lipshitz? Pots and Pans on NYE? A little anisette, then a little more when Nanna wasn't looking!
I remember how upset Carol was when their dog, Pudgie, decided to use my ear as a chew toy! Good times!
Later in life, hanging out with Carol and Mary Beth in a pizzeria parking lot in Livingston, I met Jeff. Small car with a flag headliner. I think he loved her way back then, but that just may be me.  GOD BLESS  my dear cousin Carol. You will have a lot of company in Heaven. Always in our  hearts and memories.

My heart is breaking for the loss of my cousin Carol.  I have many fond memories of our times together growing up Jersey City . We 5 – myself ,my sister Deborah , my brother George , Carol, and Mary Beth were inseparable  . Too many stories to tell but so much love and laughter . 

The best times were at Nanny’s house where we were always having such fun times .  Whether it be talent shows in the driveway or swimming in the backyard pool and Nanny giving us blackberry brandy and milk to warm us up when we got out . LOL . 

We never lost touch and shared all the special moments in each other’s lives throughout our adult years .  Up to this day we still get together frequently for visits at Carol and Jeff’s house which was always so warm and inviting .   

Rest in peace Carol , you are in good company with Mom, Dad , Aunt Joan , Uncle George , Uncle Pat, and dear Joe.

We will miss you terribly .

I will deeply miss my cousin Carol.  We have been a part of each other’s life since we were kids.  So many wonderful memories at Nanny’s house with Carol, Mary Beth and my sister and brother.  We would have sleepovers in the summer, enjoying the pool in the yard.  Aunt Louise & Uncle Tommy would take all of us to Bergen Point/Uncle Milty’s Amusement Park.  I remember how excited we all got when the ferris wheel came into view.  Then there was the time Carol, my sister and I snuck down Armstrong Avenue to the back highway to ride the go carts.  Nanny could not find us and thought “someone stole us.”  That’s only one example of the trouble we got into.  I wish we could do it all over again.

As we grew older, there were “girls day” outings, and luncheons together after we visited family at the cemetery.  There were Sunday afternoon brunches at Carol & Jeff’s beautiful home when David Matthew & Meg would visit w/the kids.  Special family time I will cherish always.

Rest in peace Carol.  God has you in his keeping, we have you in our hearts

I remember when Carol and I were seniors in college graduating with our teaching degree and teaching jobs were almost impossible to get! Caldwell college had a coach to talk to us about other fields we might want to look into.. The coach took one look at how Carol dressed, pointed  her out and said ,” You dress very fashionably. Perhaps you would think about getting a career in the fashion industry.! “ Boy was she ever right! Carol turned out to be a natural!
