

MCKAY, Donald R., 74, of Roseland, NJ, formerly of Livingston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 28, 2017. He was born in Allentown, PA to John and Katherine McKay.
President of his class, Don graduated from Livingston High School in 1961. He excelled at football and track and was named all-state in football. He continued his athletic and academic successes at Princeton University where he graduated in 1965. He was proud that he played starting tailback for Princeton’s only undefeated football team and was selected for the all-IVY team. In 1978, Don was the second inductee into the Livingston Athletic Hall of Fame.
Professionally, Don had a long and successful career in wealth management. He recently retired from UBS as Senior Vice President, Executive Wealth Management.
Beloved husband of Martha McKay. Devoted father of Scott McKay and his wife Suzanne, Liz Conklin and her husband David, Douglas McKay and his wife Susan, Stefanie Emmons, and Kristin Levin and her husband Michael. Loving grandfather of Zachary, Jordyn, Jake, Demi, Avery, Brett, Casey, and Mac. Dear brother of Jack McKay and his wife Leslie, and sister Diane Watson. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, NJ on Monday, from 4-8PM. The Funeral Service celebrating Donald’s life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11AM. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers donations in Donald’s name to Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation -- NETRF.org would be greatly appreciated.
