Dorothy Doyle

Dorothy Doyle, of Livingston, the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Valachovic of Binghamton, NY, passed away from this earth on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston. Her family will receive friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. The blessing service celebrating her life will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 AM followed by the entombment service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. It is the wish of the Doyle family that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saint Barnabas Ambulatory Care Unit, Livingston.

Dorothy and her beloved husband of 67 years resided in Livingston since 1961; they were married in August of 1946 while students at the university of Miami where she received her degree in Education followed by her Masters at Kean University. The newlyweds traveled the country having lived on several college campuses where Keith coached and Dorothy was raising her family. Dorothy most recently taught for the Livingston Board of Education and retired from the staff of Harrison Elementary School where she taught for 25 years.

In addition to her beloved husband Keith, she is survived by her two sons, Gary A. Doyle, Kent Doyle and his wife Jean, her loving grandchildren: Cory, an investment Banker in NYC and the eldest son of Kent and Jean, Brittany, the middle grandchild and an employee of CBS advertising in NYC and Gary’s son, Allen, who is ten years old.
