Dorothy F. Knapp

Dorothy F. Knapp, 97, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in Livingston, NJ. Born and raised in Orange, Dorothy lived in Livingston more than 55 years. She worked at Edison’s in the cost accounting department as a comptometer operator, and later at Ciba-Geigy as a cost accountant. An active parishioner of St. Philomena’s Church, she was also an avid golfer and bowler.

Dorothy, who lived most of her life with her sisters Marie and Jane (aka "The Girls") was one of seven children. She is survived by her sister, Eileen Basil, and her longtime companion, Bill Radom. Affectionately known as Aunt Dot, she leaves behind numerous devoted nieces, nephews and their extended families.

Kind, loyal, personable, curious, fiercely independent with a sharp sense of humor, lover of animals and friend to all, she will be sorely missed by everyone she touched.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 20 from 5-8 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Philomena’s Church, Livingston, on Monday, August 21 at 10:30 AM, with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
