Dorothy M. McDonald

Dorothy M. McDonald (nee: Wren), of East Hanover, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston. Her family will receive friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Wednesday, 4-8 PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be offered at St. Rose of Lima Church, East Hanover, on Thursday at 9:45 AM followed by the committal service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 95 Old Short Hills Rd., West Orange, NJ 07052.

Dorothy was born in Orange and had lived in Orange with her beloved late husband, Martin F. before moving to East Hanover 20 years ago. She was a credit analyst for First Fidelity Bank in Orange and Newark for 17 years retiring in 1985. Dorothy was a member of the West Orange Senior Citizens and a communicant at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover.

Surviving are her devoted children, Martin F., Jr., Maureen McDonald and Kathleen Vecchione and husband Ted; she is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Rebecca, Nicole, Ted and Katie Vecchione, Lorie Hogge, Maureen Marciano and great grandchildren, Meg and Christopher Hogge and Ava and Ashley Marciano.
