Dorothy P. McKenna

Dorothy P. McKenna, 91, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at her residence with her loving family by her side. Born in Roselle Park, NJ, Dorothy was a longtime resident of Livingston, NJ. She was a graduate of St. Elizabeth Nursing School and worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital. Dorothy also worked at Circle Nursery School in Livingston for many years. She enjoyed fishing, boating, bird watching, and gardening.

Dorothy was predeceased by her dear son Thomas McKenna, daughter Rose, and grandson Kevin McKenna. She is survived by her beloved husband Richard F. McKenna, her loving children David McKenna (Arlene), Anna Hankowski (John), Mary Hart (Donald), and Reginald McKenna, her adoring grandchildren Michael Hart, Matthew Hart, Reginald McKenna, Kristin McKenna, and Ryan McKenna, as well as her great-granddaughter Tara McKenna.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston. Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, May 14 at St. Raphael’s Church, Livingston at 10AM, with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of New Jersey, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
