

Eleanor was born on June 29, 1934, in Newark, NJ, to parents, John and Jennie (Esposito) Vernieri. She dedicated over 20 years serving as an Instructional Aide at Haywood Ave. School, in Orange, NJ. Her unwavering commitment to education and to nurturing young minds touched the lives of countless students. Beyond the school walls, Eleanor found her greatest joy in her home. A proud and devoted homemaker, she found purpose in creating a loving and welcoming environment for her family. She enjoyed cooking, and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 60+ years, Louis; sisters, Rose, and Louise; and her brother, John.
Eleanor is survived by her two sons, Frank (Lynn) and Louis (Ellen) Balestriere; four grandchildren, Dana (Jeff) Fisher, Frank Balestriere, Louis Balestriere, and Jenna (Sandro) DeCristofaro; six great-grandchildren, Frankie Balestriere, John Balestriere, Ben Balestriere, Jack Fisher, Leonardo DeCristofaro, Romeo DeCristofaro; brother, Thomas; sister, Ester, and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
