Elizabeth M. “Betty” Banzhaf, 83, died Thursday at her residence in Madison. Her family will receive friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Tuesday, 3-8 PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be offered at St. Philomena’s Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, on Wednesday at 10 AM followed by the committal service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Madison Volunteer Ambulance Auxiliary, 29 Prospect St., Madison, NJ 07940, of which she was an active member.
Born in Teaneck, Betty lived in Livingston for 43 years before moving to Madison in 2005. She was member of the Livingston Historical Society and the Rosary Altar Society of St. Philomena’s Church.
Predeceased by her beloved husband George F. in 1997, she is survived by her children, Barbara Seaman and her husband Charlie, Carol Livesey and her husband Robert, George V., Phyllis Latella and her husband Anthony, Robert and her thirteen loving grandchildren; she is also survived by her sister, Elaine McCormick.
