Frances R. Risch (nee Shaw), 88, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026, with her family by her side, in Livingston, NJ. Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, Frances married her late husband, Harry, in 1960, and settled in Livingston. She worked for 20 years as the town’s registrar, before her retirement. Frances was an active, proud member of St. Raphael’s Church in Livingston. She was part of the Altar Rosary Society, the Widow’s group, and the church choir, amongst many other clubs and groups throughout the years.
Frances was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry, as well as her siblings Betty Leishmann, Bill Shaw, and Joe Shaw. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Linda Noecker (Jeff), Bill Risch (Ann), and Ron Risch (Dorothy), her grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Sean, Jenna, and Kevin, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28 from 4-8 PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Livingston, NJ. Funeral mass will be offered on Saturday, August 29 at 10AM at St. Raphael’s Church, Livingston, with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances’ name may be made to the Livingston First Aid Squad, or the Livingston Fire Department.
