October 26, 2013, an Angel came and guided Frank Giordano to Heaven. His family will be receiving relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Monday, 4-9 PM. The blessing service celebrating his life will be on Tuesday at the funeral home at 10 AM followed by the committal service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
Born in Newark, Frank lived in Orange for twenty-six years before moving to Livingston. He served in the Army during the Korean War and as a result of his dedicated service to his country received the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, the United Nations Service Medal, the Presidential Unit Citation , the Merit Unit Commendation and National Defense Service Medal. After the war, Frank worked for Automatic Switch in Florham Park retiring as Assistant Supervisor.
Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Giordano and seven siblings, he is survived by his beloved wife June (Grosso) and his devoted children: Rose Giordano, Frank and his wife Lori and Andrea Peckholdt and husband Bill; he is also survived by his loving grandchildren Leah and Nick, Jamie, Ashley, Frank, Billy, great grandson Carter and his dear friends, Mike and Cathy Pico and Millie DeSantis. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 95 Old Short Hills Rd., West Orange, NJ 07052 or Livingston First Aid Squad, 62 S.
