Gary Mitterman, 75, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022, in Morristown, NJ. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Gary resided in West Orange, before recently moving to Succasunna. Gary proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged as a Captain. He loved animals and followed that passion to become a veterinarian. He was an avid traveler and particularly loved his visits to India. He enjoyed hiking and being in nature with a love for the mountains.
Gary was predeceased by his beloved wife, Judith. He is survived by his loving children, Gregory Mitterman and Marisa Mitterman.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022, from 3-7 PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Livingston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's name may be made the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, 194 Rt. 10 W., East Hanover, NJ 07936
