

George J. Zepko, 85, of Livingston, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, January 19, 2014. His family will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livigingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be offered at St. Philomena’s Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, on Thursday at 10:30 AM; the cremation will be private. George was born in Kearny where he lived for many years moving to Livingston in 1971. George was a Master Sergeant serving in the Air Force during the Korean War He retired as a Special Investigator for the Department of Defense; prior he was employed by the Internal Revenue Service and RCA.
He enjoyed his time as a Livingston crossing guard and loved babysitting his grandchildren.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret (Paciga) he is survived by his devoted children: John, Carol Robbins and her husband James O’Connor, Diane Quaglia and her husband Thomas, Mary Ann Zielke and her husband Edward and Donna Dusko and her husband Gregory; he is also survived by his loving grandchildren: Jason, Christine, Catherine, Daniel, Jennifer, Christopher, Katie, his cherished great grandchildren, Taylor, Joseph and Jackson and his siblings, Joseph Zepko, Florence Turner and Ann Morris.
