She was born on April 26, 1936, in Nampo, Korea. She and her husband, Yongjin Song (who passed away in August of last year), along with her children immigrated to the United States in 1975 from Seoul, Korea. Her mother joined them a year later, starting anew in Green Bay, WI, and then moving to Appleton, WI. In 2001, she, her husband, and her mother moved to NJ to be closer to the kids.
Hyungshin was devoted to and very much in love with her husband and they made wonderful memories together for over sixty years. She was also very involved in helping to raise her three beautiful grandchildren, and was very close to them. Over the past 26 years, Hyungshin travelled extensively with her husband, children and grandchildren. Most of all, she loved hosting family gatherings and cooking for her loved ones.
She is survived by her son, Frank Song, daughter, Julie Song, and her grandchildren, Nicoleta Krenteras, Daniella Krenteras, Constantinos Krenteras, and Nick Krenteras father of her grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ 07039 followed by burial at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ— 1100 E Broad St Westfield, NJ 07090.
