

Jean was born on June 25, 1936, in Scranton, PA, to the late James and Viola (Comandy) Ventura. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother whose family was the center of her world.
Jean had a wonderful talent for cooking and sewing and took great pride in her home, both here and in Florida. She enjoyed playing Bingo and Pinochle. Above all, Jean treasured time spent with her family, particularly her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and happiness.
Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Anthony “Butch” E. Kotocavage; her son, Anthony “Tony”, her parents, James and Viola Ventura; her brother, Joseph “Butch”; and her sister, Joan “Bridgie.”
She is survived by her loving children, Donna (Craig), Tim (Janine), and Marc (Andrea); her grandchildren, Alexandra, Jaime, Danielle, Mary-Kathryn, Molly Claire, Nikolas, Dominic, and Jack; her great-grandchildren, Finn, Harper, and Anthony; her brother, Jack Rooney (Mary), her sisters Patty (Bob) Magdon and Roseanne (Gary) Philips and many loving nieces and nephews.
Jean will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on through her family and the many lives she touched throughout her 90 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ.
