ohn A. Mooney, 84, of Bedminster, passed away at his residence on Thursday, December 5, 2013. The Memorial Mass celebrating his life will be offered at St. Elizabeth’s Parish, 34 Peapack Rd., Far Hills, N.J. 07931 on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 10 AM. Please omit flowers but memorial contributions to a charity of your preference would be graciously appreciated.
Born in Newark, John lived in Maplwood and Panther Valley before moving to Bedminster three years ago. He graduated from Newark College of Engineering and Seton Hall University and retired in 1990 as an executive with Public Service Electric and Gas in Newark after thirty years.
John was a member of the Panther Valley Country Club and also served in the Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his beloved wife Margaret (Buckley), his devoted children Deborah O’Hare, J.T. and Kevin Mooney, Maggie Hoehn, Barbara Reinhard and his loving eight grandchildren; he is also survived by his dear sister Mary Bergmueller.
