

Joseph L. Dimino age 81, of Livingston, NJ and Cape May Beach, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday October 1, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Philomena’s Church 386 South Livingston Avenue Livingston, NJ, on Saturday October 6, 2012 at 12:15PM. A committal will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery East Hanover, NJ. The family will receive their friends at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue Livingston, NJ; on Friday October 5, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Joseph attended St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY. He was ordained a priest in the Order of the Passionist Fathers at St. Michael’s Monastery Church Union City, NJ, in 1959. After ordination, he continued his studies and received his master’s in theology and served as director of the Holy Family Retreat House in West Hartford, Connecticut. Joseph left the priesthood in 1972 and was employed by the ARC of Essex County until his retirement as Executive Director in 2009. He continued his service to Gods people, as a communicant of St. Philomena’s Church, serving as a Deacon, Eucharistic Minister and Lector for over 30 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Sullivan Dimino, his devoted son Damien and his wife Shannon Dimino and his loving grandchildren Rome and Troy Dimino.
