Kathleen Baker

Kathleen (Kearns) Baker, 88, formerly of West Orange, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2012, at Morrisview Healthcare Center in Morris Plains.

Kathleen was born in Orange and lived most of her life in West Orange. She was employed by the West Orange Board of Education for many years before retiring in 1988. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Giordano and her husband Fred of Rockaway, her son William Baker of Long Beach Island, her grandchildren, Nicole Trella and her husband Scott, Danielle Zepp and her husband Artie, Sarah Patti and her husband Jesse, William, Brendan and Brianna Baker and great grandchildren, Amy, Harry and Sienna. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael, in 1986.

Kathleen’s family will receive friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Thursday, July 19, 2012 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service celebrating her life will be at the funeral home on Friday, July 20, 2012, at 11 AM followed by the committal service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathleen’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater NJ Chapter, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834 (973-586-4300).
