A native of Toi Shan, China, Koon spent his childhood in Hong Kong before becoming a Veterinarian having studied at National Taiwan University and the Royal Veterinary College (University of London). He provided the best opportunities for his family by sacrificing everything he had ever known and immigrating to America.
Koon, loving husband and proud father, enjoyed cooking, was a storyteller, and an avid learner, soaking up all the knowledge he could. He had a profound interest in studying Buddhist teachings. Koon's most beloved pastime though was spending time with his three grandsons.
Koon is survived by his wife of 47 years, Daisy, his sons Pedro (Catherine) and Victor (Celine) and his grandsons.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 3-5pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 145 E. Mount Pleasant Ave., Livingston, NJ.
