

Lloyd was born in the U.S. Virgin Islands to the late Ejnar Bolling and Theodora Davis Noel on November 3, 1920. "Poppy," as he was affectionately known, graduated from Christiansted High School and attended the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico.
In 1945, he moved to New York and worked for an advertising and direct mail company. On June 15, 1947, Lloyd married Antoinette "Anto" Petersen and welcomed a son and daughter, Lloyd Jr. and Karen. He was a mail carrier for the US Post Office in the Bronx, New York before returning to St. Croix, where he worked as manager for housing projects for the government of the US Virgin Islands.
He devoted his life to his wife, children and extended family. Lloyd and Antoinette were married for 63 years and traveled all over the U.S., Caribbean and Europe, including several trips to Denmark.
Lloyd set an example for his family as a loyal church member and was well known to help family, friends and neighbors. He liked to visit with his large extended family especially on trips to the beach and state parks.
His beloved wife, Antoinette, preceded Lloyd in death.
Lloyd is survived by his loving sister, Elaine Forbes, son Lloyd Jr. (Gail), daughter Karen (Chris), grandchildren, Rachel (Woodnard), Aurora (Gabe), Karri (Kevin), Cameron and Alexandra, great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
