Louise (Catalano) Aroneo, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston. Her family will receive friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be offered on Thursday at St. Philomena’s Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, at 10 AM followed by the committal service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

Louise was born in Orange and has lived in Livingston for the past 52 years. She retired from Foster Wheeler after 17 years. Most importantly, she loved and cherished her family and friends. She freely shared her many gifts with those that she encountered. Her quiet strength and gentle kindness throughout her life were an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

Predeceased by her husband Joseph and her sons John and Ben. She is survived by her devoted children, Greg and his wife Frances, Joan Murray and her husband Kenneth and daughter-in-law Silvia Aroneo. She is also survived by her seven loving grandchildren.

Joan and family ... so sorry to hear about your mom. She was a sweet, very caring person. I'll always remember her standing by the stove cooking up a delicious meal for all to enjoy. I know you all will miss her very much. Find comfort in knowing that she is now at home with our Lord.

So sorry to hear about Aunt Louise. I have so many wonderful memories of times spent growing up on Walnut Street aka "Donut Street". Aunt Louise had such a great laugh. You couldn't help but join her. All my love and prayers to Joan, Greg, Silvia and your families.
