Margaret "Peggy" A. Desch

Margaret Ann (Peggy) Desch, 66, of West Orange, NJ passed away on Friday with her family by her side. A lifelong resident of West Orange, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and June Thompson. Peggy, a retired teacher, began her career at her Parish, St. Joseph’s in West Orange, where she was also a Eucharistic minister. She then taught at East Orange High school, and then went onto Dover High School, where she dedicated her life to her students until her retirement 3 years ago. She was an avid photographer, a die-hard fan of the New York Yankees, a dedicated teacher, but most importantly dedicated mother, wife, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Desch; daughter Megan (George) and son Robert Jr.; siblings Eileen Keller (Dave) of Rawlins, WY; Bernard Thompson (Beth) of Parsippany, NJ; Robert Thompson of San Diego, CA; Patricia Jamison (Tom) if Landing, NJ; Michael Thompson (Donna), of Livingston, NJ and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and grand-nephews.

Services will be held at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E Mount Pleasant Ave, Livingston, NJ 07039 on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, from 4-8pm. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 3 at 10AM at St. Joseph Church, West Orange. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936.

Bob, Megan and RJ, I am devastated hearing about Peggy's passing. I have such great memories of our high school days at WOHS and the times we visited over the years since. I will miss her, may her memory be eternal.
