Marie Altomare

Marie Altomare (nee Lacara) age 94, of Livingston, NJ, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday November 16, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Raphael’s Church 346 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue Livingston, NJ, 0n Thursday November 21, 2013 at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum E. Hanover, NJ. The family will receive their friends at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue Livingston, NJ, on Wednesday November 20, 2013 from 4-8 PM. Marie was born in Newark, NJ to the late Joseph and Maria Lacara, she resided in Newark, NJ, before moving to Livingston, NJ in 1960. She was employed as a salesperson for Bloomingdales Department Store at the Mall at Short Hills for many years. Marie was a communicant of St Raphael’s Church and was a member and past- president of both the Livingston Garden Club and Livingston UNICO. Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband Vincent V. Altomare, she is survived by her devoted children Alex and his wife Gail Altomare, Vincent and his wife Maria Altomare and Dona and her husband William Mitschele, her loving grandchildren Lauren, Matthew, Alexander, Aris and Gianna, and great-grandchildren Sophia, Alexandra, Richard, Eleanore and Madeleine and her beloved niece MaryAnn.
