Marie C. Maltino

Maria C. Maltino (Tobia), 93, of Caldwell, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014. Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Monday, 3-7 PM. Everyone is invited directly to St. Rose of Lima Church, 316 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover on Tuesday where the Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be offered at 9:45 AM followed by the committal service at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.

Born in Newark, she lived in Bloomfied for 57 years moving to Caldwell in 2007. She retired from the Bloomfield Board of Education after 45 years.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Frank and siblings Anthony, Grace, Louis, Jerry and Faye she is survived by devoted children: Fred Maltino and wife Janice, Rita Gruchacz and husband Craig and Frank Maltino and wife Lynda; she is also survived by her brother Peter Tobia, her loving grandchildren Christina Rassias and husband Dimitri, Gabriele Gruchacz, Jacquelyn Maltino, Fred Maltino, Frank Maltino, Joe Maltino and cherished great grandson Nicholas Rassias.
