Marilyn E. Olson

Marilyn E. Olson, 87, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Marilyn was a longtime resident of West Orange. She worked for 46 years at the Hazel Avenue Elementary School in West Orange, before her retirement. She was also an active member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, East Orange, where she taught Sunday school and was a part of the Worship and Music Committee.

Marilyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth A. Olson, and her daughter Robin Krzysik. She is survived by her loving daughter Candice Peare and her husband George, her grandsons Timothy, Kenneth, and Collin, as well as her great-grandchildren Frances H. and Timothy C. Peare.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 4-8 PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 3 at 11AM at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, East Orange. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn’s name may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 26 Broadway, 14th Floor New York, NY 10004.
