Mary A. Festa, 95, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026, in Livingston, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ to the late Antonio and Marianna Palombo, Mary resided in Newark, Irvington, and Holmdel, before moving to Livingston. Mary enjoyed traveling, socializing, and playing bridge with her many friends. She also loved spending time with her beloved family.
Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Edward. She is also predeceased by her siblings Lucy, Frank, Joseph, and Chiro. She leaves behind her loving daughters, Debra Loprete (Louis) and Linda Minnella, her grandchildren and their spouses; Joseph (Melissa), Michael (Nicole), Danny (Jenette), and Nicholas (Lindsay). She leaves behind her 9 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17 from 9-11AM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Livingston. Funeral Mass will be offered following the visitation at 11:30AM at St. Philomena’s Church, Livingston, with entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s name may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN, and the Deborah Hospital Foundation, Browns Mills, NJ.
