Michael Peter Young

Michael Peter Young, 41, passed away at his residence in Mount Arlington on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. There will be a memorial gathering to celebrate his life at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 4 to 8 PM with a Blessing Service at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Livingston Fire Department, 62 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, N.J. 07039.

Michael was born in Livingston and lived there for thirty years moving to Mount Arlington ten years ago. Having graduated Livingston High School, he became a licensed insurance agent. Michael had been a ten year member of the Livingston Fire Department as well as the Livingston Elks and Kiwanis Club. Being a kind and giving person, he was rewarded immensely volunteering at the St. John’s Soup Kitchen in Newark. He was an incredibly personable young man who loved and appreciated his many relatives and friends.

Surviving are his devoted parents, Edward A. and Christine (Furdyna), loving brother Edward A. Young III and his wife Leigh Mastriani, his nephew Edward A. Young IV, his dear grandmother, Clara Fischer, his beloved companion Melanie Politi and his cherished dog, DJ.
