Mildred Nigara

Mildred was born in Newark and worked at GE for many years before becoming a full-time mom. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden and she was a regular at the Early Birds Bowling Team at Eagle Rock Bowling Alley. Mildred was also a parishioner at St. Joseph’s Church in West Orange for over 70 years and would help organize and run many church events including the rummage sale and carnival. Mildred was a caretaker at heart and was always there to take care of everyone.

Mildred is predeceased by her husband Ramon J. Nigara, son Ramon W. Nigara, and grandson Christopher Nigara. She is survived by her daughter Carol Nigara, son Bill (Carol) Nigara, her grandchildren Will, Dan (Gi) and Kimberly, as well as many nieces and nephews and her cat Joba.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 10am-12pm at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mount Pleasant Ave., Livingston, NJ. A prayer service will take place at the funeral home beginning at 12pm with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
