Nicholas R. Janquitto, died Monday
April 12, 2021, at the age of 90.
Visitation will be held at Quinn-
Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East
Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston,
on Sunday, April 18 from 2 p.m.-6
p.m.A mass will be held on Monday,
April 19 at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady
of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 28
Livingston Avenue, Roseland.
He is survived by his wife of 68
years, Nancy (nee Liljestrand) and
five children, Daniel Janquitto,
Ramona Turan (Andre), Andrew
(Liz), Laura Foley (Tim), and Matthew,
as well as six grandchildren,
Dana, Luke, Lucy, Katie, Megan,
and Jenna.
A resident of Livingston since
1959, Nick was the owner/operator
of Mr. Jan’s Hair Fashions in
Livingston until 1975.
He then earned his Black Seal
License and worked as a stationary
engineer for Saint Philomena
Parish, the Livingston Board of
Education, and Foster Wheeler
Corporation.
Nick was a disabled veteran
who served in the Navy during
the Korean War. He was a talented
musician, and played saxophone in
his ship’s band. Meticulous in all
he did and proud of his home and
family, Nick loved to bowl and
took up golf in retirement.
