Nicholas Peter Mitola Sr.

Nicholas Peter Mitola, Sr., 91, passed away at Saint Barnabas Medical Center on Monday, June 15, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. They invite relatives and friends to the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston on Thursday 2-7 PM with a blessing service at the funeral home at 6 PM. Cremation will be private.

Born in Newark, Nicholas lived in West Orange for many years while maintain summer residences in Florida. He proudly served in the US Navy during World War II and after the war entered the construction industry retiring as a Labor Union foreman for Local 502 in East Orange.

Predeceased by his brothers Dominick, Peter and George, he is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-eight years, Rosan (Amabile), his loving children, Nicholas, Jr., Dennis and his wife Sharon, Noreen Keene and her husband Douglas and cherished grandchildren, Rosan and Lauren Mitola, Kimberlee Keene, and Colette M., Candace and Dennis, Jr. Mitola; he is also survived by his dear siblings, Phyllis Mitola, Connie Massa, Rosanne Cozza, Lorraine Tortorella and Rocco Mitola.
