Patricia Ann Heym (Patty) passed away in Vineland, NJ on February 24, 2021.
Patty was born in Newark, NJ, and it was apparent that she was a special needs child early in her life. She lived for 50 years in Livingston with her family before moving to Woodbridge Development Center and later to Vineland Developmental Center in New Jersey. She was a wonderfully happy person who enjoyed being with people. She also was very fond of food, animals and getting outdoors.
She is predeceased by her parents, Margaret and Herbert Heym, and survived by her brother James Heym. The family thanks the caregivers and staff at both Woodbridge and Vineland Developmental Centers for the care and support they provided for Patty over many years. Most people who knew Patty will remember her for the smiles she brought to their faces.
A private burial service will be held for Patty where she will be reunited with her parents.
If desired, memorial donations are suggested for the Special Olympics organization.
