Pedro was born on September 12th, 1947 to Dr. Dionisio and Aida Dinglasan in Batangas City, Philippines. He spent his grade school and high school years at the Ateneo de Manila and attended the University of the Philippines where he did his preparatory in medicine. He went on to the University of the East, ultimately pursuing a specialty in Urology.
His life was forever changed during his internship training at Veterans Memorial Hospital, when he met a nurse named Alegria Parulan at the chapel.
In 1978, he proposed to that nurse in the airport as she returned home to the Philippines from working in the United States. Married for 43 years, Pedro and Alegria built a beautiful life together.
He was a devout Catholic, a man of great faith. He was active both in his long-time parish of St. Philomena in Livingston as well as the faith community of Catholics for Family and Life.
Pedro is survived by his devoted wife, Alegria, his children and their spouses, Robbie & Koleen, Mark & Michelle, Monica & Richard, and his grandchildren, who lovingly know him as their Big Daddy - Elias (10), Joseph (7), Tobias (7), Avelina (6), Trina (4), Kaias (2), Lily Grace (2), Jordan Mae (5mos) and one more baby on the way.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9 and Thursday November 10, from 4-8 PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Livingston. Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, November 11th at 10AM at St. Philomena's Church, 386 S. Livingston Avenue, Livingston, NJ. All family and friends are asked to meet directly at church on Friday. Cremation will be private.
