
Peter J. Cilenti, 86, of Livingston, passed away at Saint Barnabas Medical Center on Thursday, December 18, 2014. His family will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave. on Monday, December 22, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be offered at St. Philomena’s Church 386 S. Livingston Ave. on Tuesday at 11:30 AM followed by the entombment service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Livingston Fire Dept., 62 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, NJ 07039 would be greatly appreciated.
Born and raised in Orange, Peter moved to Livingston in 1964. After honorably serving in the Army he became a self-employed mechanic and then owner of the Palladium Lanes in Orange. He served over fifty-five years as a coach with the Livingston National Little League and was a member of the Livingston American Legion Post 201.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Geraldine in 2012, he is survived by his devoted sons: Michael and wife Madelaine, Frank and wife Diane, Anthony and wife Lynne and his loving seven grandchildren: Cathleen, Michelle, Kayla, Nick, A.J., Dan, Maria and his one great grandchild; Lucas; he is also survived by his loving nieces Connie, Leslie, Stephanie and Candice.
