Prescilla B. Reynes-Marrero

Prescilla Reynes Marrero, beloved wife, sister, aunt, step-mother, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 25, 1947, in Manila, Philippines, Prescilla was the cherished daughter of Pablo Reynes and Flor Ben Reynes. She grew up in a close-knit family and carried that devotion to family throughout her life.

Prescilla graduated from the University of Santo Tomas Education High School and went on to earn her degree in Accounting and Finance from Far Eastern University. In 1979, she and her family began a new chapter, migrating to the United States, where she built a successful career as a Tax Accountant. She worked for Merck for many years, earning the respect of colleagues through her diligence, integrity, and quiet strength, until her retirement.

A woman of many joys, Prescilla was an excellent bowler—so excellent that it was in a bowling league where she met the love of her life, O’Neill Marrero. They married in 1988 and shared a partnership filled with laughter, companionship, and unwavering support. Prescilla also found joy in jigsaw puzzles, music, and classic movies, but nothing brought her more happiness than time spent with her family. She loved her nieces, nephews, godchildren, and step-children as if they were her own, offering them endless encouragement, generosity, and affection. Her kindness was steady, her heart expansive, and her presence a source of comfort to all who knew her.

Prescilla was preceded in death by her parents Pablo and Flor Reynes, her sister Edith Teichman, and her brother-in-law Raoul Pacamarra. She is survived by her devoted husband O’Neill Marrero; her sister Ludivina Pacamarra; her sister Dulce Reynes Chomen and husband Leo Chomen; her brother Neil Reynes; brother-in-law David Teichman; nieces Karen DeFini (John), Elizabeth Teichman, Samantha Pacamarra Kelly (Mark), and Daniella Errera; nephews Jason Teichman (Alison), Alex Pacamarra (Erica), and David Reynes; great nieces Abigail DeFini and Jude Kelly; great nephews Nicholas DeFini, Henry and Arthur Teichman, Ben Kelly, and Theodore and Benjamin Cottrell; her step-children Eric Marrero and Emily Ruiz-Marrero; and Emily’s daughters Tiffany and Stephanie Torres.

Prescilla’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and quiet strength. She will be remembered for her warm smile, her gentle spirit, and the way she made every person in her life feel cherished.

Visitation will be held at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Ave, Livingston, NJ 07039, US, on August 3, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Raphael Roman Catholic Church, 346 E Mt Pleasant Ave, Livingston, NJ 07039, US, on August 4, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
