Ralph N. Gamba died peacefully at Saint Barnabas Hospital on December 8, 2018 at 1:00am.
Ralph was born in Orange, New Jersey at St. Mary’s Hospital and was raised in East Orange and subsequently in South Orange, New Jersey. He graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey where he excelled in baseball. In the years ’46 and ’47 he was honored to have achieved All Essex County and All State for his progress in the sport of baseball.
After graduating from high school he matriculated at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Management in the year 1991.
From there Ralph joined USAF and served 4 years as an enlisted man in an intelligence unit where he was stationed in various places including Yokota, Japan and was honorably discharged in 1955.
His civilian life was spent in the insurance business where he was a State Farm Insurance Company agent and manager in Bergen County.
Thereafter, he spent 52 years as owner of his own insurance agency known as State Wide Underwriters in West Orange, New Jersey.
Ralph was in love with the game of golf and was a long time member of the East Orange golf club in Short Hills, New Jersey.
He was married for 60 years to Ria.
For the past 5 years, he had happily re-married to his current wife, Blanca.
Everyone that has ever known Ralph understands the unconditional love he gave every individual in his life. He was easy to love and for that we are all thankful. He was sweet, classy, witty and all of the qualities that make an exceptional Husband, Father, Grandfather and Man.
May we always remember Ralph with the same love he spread around.
