

Ramaben was born on Mar 8, 1932 in the city of Ankleshwar, Bombay Presidency, India. She was the eldest daughter of Late Shri N.G. Gandhi and Late Shrimati Shardaben Gandhi (Talati). She completed her certification in Montessori based education along with other teaching certifications in 1962. She had 7 Siblings; 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Late Rameshbhai, Late Sureshbhai, Yogeshbhai, Late Bhartiben, Maltiben, Sudhaben and Sandhyaben.
She was married to her loving husband Shri Bhagwatlal V Shah in Feb 1949 until his passing in 1993. They raised 3 sons and 1 daughter; Prakash (Smita), Shailesh (Purnima), Bina (Nitin) and Viresh (Neelam). She was the proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren Shivani (Rajeev), Sapan (Shoshana), Ankit (Nupur), Sona (Chris), Kushyup (Aditi), Ravi (Mansi), Radhika (Ketan), Sujay, Ravina, in addition to Sita (Jamin) and Gauri (Raunak). She was graced with 12 Great grand -children: Milan, Simrin, Jace, Eliya, Kai, Elyn, Raiya, Zuri, Meera, Caide, Ram and Shiv.
Shrimati Ramaben was a proud woman of many talents and interests; a masterful cook, educator, mentor to young and old, Accountant, Fitness advocate, World traveler, Studying Shastras, Sewing, Knitting, Lazim dance, driving her Lexus RX330 and above all else, a Mother. We will miss her beautiful yet mischievous smile, her sense of fashion and style, her dynamism and most of all, her love for family and friends. Her lifelong perseverance in spite of many life obstacles will continue to inspire us for generations. She was an inspiration to all who crossed her path and she will truly be missed.
A religious ceremony for Ramaben will be held Friday, January 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Ave, Livingston, NJ 07039.
