With profound sadness and immeasurable love, we celebrate the life of Rhea Delacruz Salinas, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, beloved sister, and dear friend whose kindness, faith, and unconditional love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
If you asked Rhea what mattered most in life, her answer would always be family. Her family was her greatest accomplishment and her greatest source of happiness. She poured her heart into caring for those she loved and created a home filled with warmth and laughter.
She found joy in life's simple moments—taking her kids to the park, spending days at the beach, baking legendary desserts, crocheting adorable creatures, putting jigsaw puzzles together, and singing karaoke. She believed the greatest memories were made not through grand occasions, but through everyday moments shared with the people she loved.
Rhea often spoke about the joys she and her husband, Eric, shared. Whether they were attending concerts together, cheering for their kids on the soccer field, or spending a quiet evening at home, Rhea treasured the life they built together. Their marriage was rooted in friendship, faith, and a deep love for one another and for their family.
Those who knew Rhea will remember her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, and quiet strength. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, understood, and loved. Her smile could brighten a room, her laughter was contagious, and her kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Faith was the foundation of Rhea's life. Since high school, she carried Philippians 4:13 close to her heart: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." She also found guidance in Proverbs 3:5–6, trusting in the Lord with all her heart, even when the path ahead was uncertain. Through every season of life—including her courageous battle with cancer—her faith remained steadfast. She faced each challenge with grace, hope, and unwavering trust in God, becoming an inspiration to all who witnessed her strength.
Rhea is survived by her husband and high school sweetheart, Eric; her children, Jacob, Kylie, and Gavin; her mother, Georgienen Delacruz; her siblings, Ron, Jeriel, and Jorene; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends who will forever cherish the love, kindness, and joy she brought into their lives. She is also survived by her furry nap buddy, Stella.
Rhea was preceded in death by her beloved father, Renato Delacruz.
Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we are deeply grateful for the time we shared with Rhea. We will remember her for the love she gave so freely, the strength she showed so courageously, and the faith that carried her throughout her life. Her legacy lives on in her family, in the countless lives she touched, and in the beautiful memories that will forever remain in our hearts.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, July 7, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ. A private funeral service will follow at a later date for invited guests only.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Angelica Laguador who will forward a combined gift to the Villa Marie Claire residential hospice.
