
Robert B. Bennington II, 89, passed away in Livingston on Saturday, December 24, 2011. His family will receive friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Wednesday, 4-9 PM with the Masonic service at 8 PM. The funeral and committal service will be private for family only.
Bob was born in Belleville NJ and lived in West Orange for many years moving to Livingston 23 years ago. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II as a Sergeant and had received the Meritorious Unit Award, American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal. He retired in 1986 as a Sales Manager for Beechnut Nutrition Corporation after 38 years. He most enjoyed working part-time as an engineer on the Becker Farm train in Roseland. Bob was a member of the Livingston Masonic Lodge #11, the Salaam Shrine, Livingston, Royal Order of Jestors and the Phillipsburg Railroad Historians.
Surviving is his beloved wife for 63 years, Evelyn (Owen), his devoted sons Thomas R., his wife Barbara and their sons Thomas R., Jr. and Gregory J. and Boyd P. and Erika Drumm and his sister Marion Nunn.
